Fostering the Legacy of Joseph Glasco

Joseph Glasco arrived on the scene in New York as a young man just as the nascent contemporary art movement that helped to shape American culture in the Post-War era was beginning to evolve. He was the youngest artist to have his work collected by MOMA in 1949. He was also the youngest to be included in the exhibition ‘15 Americans’ organized by Dorothy Miller at MOMA in 1952, and he went on to have a successful art career that spanned nearly fifty years.

The Joseph Glasco Charitable Foundation is dedicated to fostering the legacy of Joseph Glasco through a greater appreciation for his career and art.

The foundation’s sole purpose is to help ensure museums, curators, scholars, and the public have the necessary information to advance their understanding of Joseph Glasco’s life and work to solidify his place in American art history.
